Goodbye Jeddah :-(

Dad got an offer and we are going to move to Dubai soon inshallah. Preparations for leaving will be a bit hard for mom since she likes a lot her freinds here and will miss their activities, but also she is happy because she loved Dreamy Dubai from the first time she visited it. Mom has a lot of freinds there and I'm sure she will be happy there. Also mom's freinds have children from my age, so sure I'll be happy there too.

As for Dad, his best freind Ashraf is there, (his Argeeleh partner) and sure they gonna both enjoy watching the World Cup together again.

Although Mom, Dad and I gonna miss this place because we were all here in the compound living as one family, and I'm gonna miss my freind Koko who always makes me laugh when saying "Bombaaaaaaaaaaa" for me and I start laughing :-) hahahah but life must goes on.

To all who read this blog from Nujoud Compound I say I love you and I'm never going to forget you. I'll try to visit Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and other Arab countries to meet my friends in the future.

Till then, stay tuned for "The Walid Dajani Show"!

A Visit to the Abu Ghali family's home

Last thursday Mom and Dad took me to visit Dad's relative Uncle Hani and Auntie Salwa Abu Ghali for the first time.

In the beginning I was a bit shy becuase I was wondering who these people are and I kept silent. After a while I started screaming my "Walid scream" (which is a high-pitched, sharp scream) to get attention and then I started my takhreeb hehe. Auntie Salwa liked me a lot and made me banana with orange juice and I liked her a lot and Uncle Hani too, he is so nice and gentle.

We watched their son's wedding (Fadi & Zeina) wonderful wedding :-) Alf Mabrouk. Mom and Dad were supposed to be there but because I was about to be born they couldn't make it because it was in Lebanon. Also watching this wedding gave me the chance to get to know my new family and freinds, who I will meet in Dubai.

Samak in Dahban

Last week we went with 6 families from the compound to a place about 45 minutes from Jeddah called "Dahbaan" to eat fish at a resteaurant called "3anbarya".. Yummmmmy.. It was my first time to eat fish and I liked it much.

When we reached there it was a surprise for mom's friends that the place is "ga3deh 3arabieh" but mom wasn't surprised because Dad already told her at home. Seems he goes there a lot ha ha!! ;-)

We sat on this ga3deh 3arabieh but it was comfortable and I crawled all over the large floor and my friends were all around me. Mom and her freinds played games and dad's freinds (the Jordanian group) played cards (Tarneeb) and of course dad and his partner won.

Then the fish and shrimps came, and we attacked the food like sharks and finished it within 15 minutes because it was delicious. I sat on the floor in between my mom and Aunt Najla (who always call me "Beeko") and they both started to feed me. Then they ordered tea with mint and uncle Ahmad bought ice cream later for everyone. I tasted a little bit from mom's ice cream and I like it too.

At 7:00pm we went back home and I slept all the way because I had such a fun-filled and eventful day. But of course that meant that at night, I wasn't ready to sleep at my usual time of 8:30pm and so "sihiret" with mom and dad and Jarir, who came over to our house later that night.
